This shelf is a piece of fine quality cat furniture. We designed it for our two adopted cats 3 years ago. We knew cats love perching up high and wanted to create a perfect vantage point for them.nnWe wanted this CHILL shelf to fit our home interior and to be simply appealing. The brackets are hidden which gives the shelf a floating look. It is made of solid beech plywood, two metal brackets were tested with 44lb (20kg) load. No worries, this shelf will easily hold even giant cat.nnWhats also important, brackets are 16 apart. The shelf can be mounted to wall studs behind the sheet rock. nnA pad is detachable and washable. It is attached to the shelf by press studs so it will not slide off if the cat jumps on itnn
